It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of retired SCOTUS Sgt. Rita H. Borden on 2/15/25, mother of retired Court Clerk Christine Callahan. After a long battle with breast cancer, she passed peacefully.
As per her wishes, a wake will not be held. A mass will be held at The Church of Holy Spirit in New Hyde Park on Wednesday 2/19/25 at 9:30 am with Christian Burial to follow at Saint John’s Cemetery in Middle Village.
The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation in her name be sent to the breast cancer society.
